7.11.09 - 8.11.09The Donkey Seminar - Breeders, Exhibitors & Judges ClinicDonkey All Breeds Society of Australia Inc., in partnership with IMHR have invited Mr Wayne Hipsley, of Lexington Kentucky USA to hold several instructional seminars.
Mr Hipsley is an internationally recognised Judge for many breeds, and serves as a professional Judge educator for many breed societies, including the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, where his manual on judging and selection of horses is a required reference. He is a licensed and professional member of many breed societies including National Saddle Mules Association. His qualifications are too numerous to record here. 10.00 - Meet the Mammoths and “potted history” 10.30 - Morning tea ($2 donation to Donkey welfare) 11.00 - Demo – round yard education 12.00 - Demo – working with scarifier and seeder 1.00 - Shared festive lunch (please bring along a plate of something to share) 2.00 - NSW DONKEY SOCIETY members Annual General Meeting, followed by quick Committee meeting if there’s still time – everyone welcome to stay. Directions – from Sydney way – Hume Highway – bypassing Goulburn/Gunning/Yass/Bowning, turn off HWY through Binalong (well signposted) to Harden. Upon leaving Harden, pass Murrumburah at top of hill past cemetery on left. Turn right to Wombat 13ks along. Look for old cottage and big green barn very close to road. (If you get to the Wombat Hotel you have gone 3 ks too far – do not stop for a drink, turn around)
From Bathurst – go through Blayney/Cowra/Crowther/Young. Turn off Olympic Hwy at Wombat Hotel. Pass Hotel & drive 3 ks towards Harden – going up rise on left look for old cottage and big green barn.
